Blue Note recording artist Eddie Gale has been integral in defining the new music sound through collaborations with Larry Young, Cecil Taylor, and Sun Ra, who dubbed him "the original avant-garde trumpeter".
India Cooke has performed as featured soloist with Joe Williams and the Louie Bellson Orchestra, and has played with Sarah Vaughan, Ray Charles, and Frank Sinatra. She continues to expand her improvisatory horizons with performers as Pharoah Sanders, Cecil Taylor, and Pauline Oliveros.
